Not new on the market but subject to EU directories and changes is HOT PRESSURE CREOSOTE impregnated timber.

Ask any farmer that has had experience of creosoted timber, and they will all tell you that their fences last for 50 , YES,'50' OR MORE YEARS. Some gates have been known to still swing on their hinges at 100 years old. (now that is money in the bank). Pressure creosote or PC as we call it is especially good if your horses have developed a habit of chewing at your fencing, (there are many reasons why they may be doing this), but creosote tastes pretty bad, a good deterrent from a costly habit.
